- Benefit
- Capital Investment Subsidy 30% general / 35% reserved category, plus a location top-up, a captive solar top-up, and a reefer-vehicle subsidy.
- Ceiling
- CIS capped at ₹3.50cr general / ₹4.00cr reserved. Ceiling of ₹50cr P&M, with a State Level Committee for the ₹10–50cr band.
- Eligibility
- Food-processing activity, plant & machinery up to ₹50cr, production within 3 years.
- Route
- DLC up to ₹1cr, SDC for ₹1–10cr, SLC for ₹10–50cr.
Watch out for
Always beats the MSME Policy for a genuine food-processing unit — there is no scenario where a food unit should be routed to the MSME Policy for CIS instead.
